Sony has been making a lot of noise when it comes to cameras lately. The auto focus and form factors of these cameras are unmatched by any of the other competitors. When it comes down to the, the price points are even unmatched. While some Sony cameras may seem to cost an insane amount, I assure you there competitors camera is way more. Sony released there first full frame alpha camera in December 2013 and has been leading the charts ever since. The sony a7 created such a buzz and both professionals and consumers were interested. The Sony a7s and a7r was released afterwards as more of a higher end video and photography camera. Never the less, the Sony a7 remained to be the most choose camera. The sony a7s was more of a video camera and lacked the megapixels to do any large printing. And the Sony a7r was super expensive and really lacked some features that the a7 had. The auto focus was slower on the a7r then the a7 and for some the images on the a7r were way to large and introduced problems when trying to edit. So most people used the sony a7. Now we have the mark 2 of all of the cameras and all of the same issues above still apply. The only difference is in body stabilization. Some can argue if this is worth the price difference or not but honestly, i dont think it is. When you get to the point where your doing professional video, your most likely going to use some kind of stabilization that isn’t in the camera. Such as a gimbals or glide cam. If you are doing photography, then your either using a tripod or your shutter is fast enough not to get camera share. Also, the lenses already have stabilization and there really is no need for it.
