Why can they not manage to do the same? I feel so helpless sometimes because there is nothing we can do.6 trillion dollar budget this coming year and they have managed to find only $100 million dollars to cut, not even half of 1%?? I would bet most of us could easily cut 10 to 20% from our personal budgets if we tried hard enough. That's almost a trillion dollars over a 16 year period, and that is just one program!! Can any one of us possibly imagine how much money is wasted, just flushed down the toilet, through other programs in other departments? Why can't they figure out how to fix these problems before trying to start new programs? We have a 1.Why is our government not fixing the problems we have before they add new programs? There is 60 billion dollars lost to fraud each year in just the medicare/medicaid program. This is our hard earned money, money that could be used to pay down our debt.
