Friends of Gunnison is a non-landed, American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) affiliated club. The clothing optional beach attracts nearly 5,000 naturists per weekend in the summer months. We have no clubhouse, We do not own property. Our club’s location is beautiful Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook, NJ. There are over 200 members in the club. Many of the beach regulars formed this club to foster community and fun among the members.

You do not need to be a member of Friends of Gunnison to go to Gunnison Beach because it is a part of the Gateway National Recreation Area located at Sandy Hook, NJ. The Clothing Optional Beach is fully sanctioned with National Park Service Lifegurards and Facilities at the non-clothing optional Entrance to the beach. There is also a “snack shack” on the beach. The park and its beaches are run by the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service.
