Does Interest Come With A Student Bank Account At RBC? (Royal Bank Of Canada)?

. I got a student bank account with Royal Bank of Canada in September 2008 and I noticed in my bank statements that I haven't gotten any interest. Am I supposed to be getting interest or does that benefit
