Michael Jackson Dies At 50 From Cardiac Arrest

Michael was found dead this afternoon in his Holmby Hills house. It has been reported that Michael Jackson suffered from a cardiac arrest earlier.

Michael was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiolgist at UCLA told TMZ.com that Michael died of cardiac arrest. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate Jackson but it was to late.

Michael to me in my opinion lived a crazy life. I know he will be missed by many. Di spite Jacksons legal issues the pop star still will always be remembered. He was truly the king of pop!

La Toya is rummored to have ran in the hospital sobbing after michael was pronounced dead. I have yet to read reports of the actions of the other family memebers.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.

  • Echo a wordpress blog

Well wordpress has got to be one of the greatest content management systems. This blog is so easy to set up and really works wonders if you have a bunch of sites. If you know how to interact mySQL and PHP then you can really extend the CMS.

Today I realized how handy wordpress can be. I was making a adult site and did not want to use the wordpress system for the actual site. What i did was designed the site and then output the data on my index.php on the root of the site. It looks really nice too. Maybe in the next few weeks I will write a tutorial on this.

  • State Department official says money for reconstruction of Strip will be transferred via UN; money meant to help strengthen Palestinian Authority, will not go to Hamas, official says

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to announce a $900 million pledge of US aid for Gaza and the Palestinian Authority at a donors’ meeting in Egypt next week, a State Department official said on Monday. The money, which needs US congressional approval, will be distributed through UN and other bodies and not via Hamas, which rules Gaza, said one official.

“This money is for Gaza and to help strengthen the Palestinian Authority. It is not going to go to Hamas,” said the official, who asked not to be named. The March 2 donors conference in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh resort aims to raise humanitarian and rebuilding funds for Gaza after Israel’s offensive at the end of last year.

Preliminary estimates put the damage in Hamas-run Gaza after Israel’s offensive at nearly $2 billion.

Clinton’s bid to get “substantial” funds could face an uphill battle in Congress where requests for Gaza will likely meet resistance as Hamas continues to rule there and the US focus is on its own souring economy.

In December, the former Bush administration said it would give $85 million to the UN agency giving aid to Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

The United States wants the Palestinian Authority, under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas, to play a central role in the reconstruction effort in Gaza, hoping this will increase its influence in the Hamas stronghold. Washington is also putting pressure on other donors to bolster the Palestinian Authority.

“We call on donor countries to focus their pledges to meet the Palestinian Authority’s priorities, including budget support, and on projects that can be funded through the Palestinian Authority and other existing, trusted mechanisms,” said the State Department official.

The quartet of Middle East mediators are expected to meet on the sidelines of the Egyptian conference where they will work on strategy on Gaza, US officials said.

“We will also emphasize the importance of laying the conditions for successful negotiations toward the two-state solution and an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict,” the State Department official said of discussions in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Egypt will be Clinton’s first stop on a trip expected to include Israel and the West Bank – a public demonstration of the Obama administration’s promise to make Arab-Israeli peacemaking a foreign policy priority.

  • Limp Bizkit To Reunite For New Album and Tour

According to Interscope Records, nu-metal punching bags LIMP BIZKIT will be reuniting for a new album and tour.

Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal were last active in the fall of 2001, after which Borland left the band to focus on his own music. Borland rejoined for the 2004 EP The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), but left again shortly thereafter.

Limp Bizkit has essentially been on hiatus since then, with Durst devoting his energies to directing and acting in film.

Although all dates are not yet confirmed, the band will play international festivals this spring, including shows in Eastern Europe, as well as Germany’s Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals.

  • FBI agents Monday raided a rural Georgia peanut butter plant suspected as the source of a nationwide salmonella outbreak, a CNN affiliate reported.

The Peanut Corporation of America plant in Blakely, Georgia, was sealed off by federal authorities Monday morning, WALB reported.

The company is accused of knowingly shipping tainted products now linked to nearly 600 illnesses, including eight deaths, in 43 states. The recent outbreak has led to one of the largest food recalls in U.S. history, encompassing more than 1,000 products.

The Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Criminal Investigations launched a probe of the company on January 30.

Previously, the Peanut Corporation of America had said said it shipped products only after subsequent tests came back negative for salmonella.

Representatives from the company have not returned repeated calls from CNN.

  • Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with TMZ.com… police took pictures of Rihanna’s injuries and they are “horrific.”

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face — there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this… Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that’s what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We’re told the photos alone are “devastating proof of abuse.”

And we’ve learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

  • Michael Phelps

Over the weekend the blogs have been a buzz about the photo of Olympian Michael Phelps smoking a bong. During that time Daily Newscaster was aware of the photo but did not post on the subject.

Yesterday Mr. Phelps confirmed the photograph was genuine and he was smoking some marijuana while visiting a friend at the University of South Carolina. Friends of Phelp’s said Someone jealous of Phelp’s success took the photograph to harm his reputation.

The media and some bloggers used the sensational photo to line their pockets and condemn smoking marijuana as a devious act. Yet when you read comments on YouTube, Twitter, MySpace and many other social networks and blogs you get a very different opinion about the effects of marijuana.

It appears the general public is largely in favor of marijuana decriminalization. The populace seems fatigued by the drug war. Many are tired of seeing their friends and family arrested, relationship between parents and children destroyed, swat teams busting through doors and terrorizing Americans and the billions of tax dollars wasted. Enough is enough seems to be the sentiment.
